Ina. Ch. Benhur von Blesofky
(August 9th, 1999 - November 28th, 2006)
Ben was the foundation stud dog not only for our kennel, but also for others. He heralded a new trend for Golden Retrievers in Indonesia. After his debut in Jogja, people started to become aware about how important bloodlines are and how selected bloodlines determine the quality of puppies produced. His offspring are generating Ben´s blood and we hope they will pass his "Benhood" to their offspring.

His loving and tender manner to people, especially to children showed his true character as golden retriever. He was the best-mannered golden retriever I have ever had. He had been "a teacher" for us with his loyalty, sincerity, patience and wisdom. That is why we called him "Ayah" (daddy)...
A year before he left us, Ben underwent three surgeries on his elbow for tumors. On his last surgery the left elbow had to be removed as the tumor was growing, becoming cancer.. Three months after his last surgery the cancer had spread into his lungs. He passed away because of breathing failure..

I would like to thank:

* Mr. Setyo Budhi and Miss Putri, our vets, for their medical support
I never thought Ben left so many memories for my friends. Some still do not believe that he has left us, some disappointed that they failed to mate their bitches to Ben, some think the way I do - no Goldie is ideal as Benhur!
